Merry Mayhem 2022

Entropia Universe’s annual winter hunting extravaganza Merry Mayhem is back!

• Wednesday - Nov. 30 - 14:00 UTC - Merry Mayhem 2022 begins. 
• Wednesday - Jan. 11 - 14:00 UTC - Merry Mayhem 2022 ends (extended from Jan. 10).
• Friday - Jan. 20 - 14:00 UTC - Cutoff for submission of FFA Mayhem Stars for the Free-for-All Mayhem category.
• Friday - Feb. 3 - FFA event results announced. Prizes awarded in the following days.

Mayhem Annihilation instances are accessed via the Global Events List from any planet in Entropia Universe. Browse the event list for the entrance appropriate for your avatar’s profession level.

FFA Mayhem instances are accessed via the Santa's Little Helper NPCs in Fort Ithaca, Fort Zeus, and Nymphtown on Planet Calypso. The Santa’s Little Helper NPCs provide access to five different FFA Mayhem instances containing creatures of various levels.

 

 

There are ten Mayhem Annihilation instances available. Participants of all skill levels or gear can enter any of the instances; the only difference is the difficulty of the creatures within the instances. There are no time or gear restrictions or requirements for Mayhem Annihilation, and it is possible to switch between any of the available Annihilation instances at any time, regardless of which mission a participant has chosen.

Upon entering one of the Annihilation event instances, participants will be presented with a choice of four missions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Redulite, which determine the number of points required to unlock rewards. Each mission chain features ten reward thresholds. Participants may only choose one mission, which cannot be restarted or repeated. Be careful not to abandon the mission once started!

Interact with the Julklapp inside the Mayhem Annihilation event instance to begin spawning creatures.

Eliminate Merry Creatures to accumulate points and unlock reward tiers. A random number of points (0, 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500) is automatically awarded after defeating one of the event instance creatures. Higher-level creatures have a higher chance of awarding more points, regardless of which mission is chosen.

Rewards in Mayhem are based on performance in the event instances and are unlocked and awarded automatically when certain criteria are met.

Rewards include exclusive clothing, consumables, Christmas-themed items, Christmas Strongboxes, and Mayhem Tokens, which can also be looted from event creatures in this and other Mayhem-style events. Mayhem Tokens and Rare Mayhem Tokens can be exchanged for exclusive items offered by the Mayhem Token Traders located in Cape Corinth, Port Atlantis, and Twin Peaks on Planet Calypso.

Mayhem Tokens and Rare Mayhem Tokens can be accumulated over the course of several events to purchase more expensive items, allowing participants to make incremental progress toward their desired rewards. Mayhem Tokens and Rare Mayhem Tokens are non-tradable, but the items available in the Mayhem Token Vendor are tradable.

Merry Snargs are on the rampage, and it’s up to you to keep them under control!

The Merry Snarg spawn will run during the time of the Merry Mayhem competition event, see dates above.

Activate the “Jul Snarg Hunt” mission by talking to the NPC Santa’s Little Helper by Port Atlantis East Gate [61614, 75294].

Note that an Avatar can only run the Jul Snarg Hunt mission once. If your Avatar completed the mission a previous year the NPC will not hand out the mission again.

Completing the mission will award an Isis LLC 2 Merry Edition (L) Laser Rifle with Increased Laser Skill Gain.

Hunting Merry Snargs will also count towards or unlock the Snarg challenge in the Codex with valuable skill rewards. The Codex Snarg challenge is not dependent on having the Jul Snarg Hunt mission active.

 

 

Mayhem Annihilation is intended for solo hunters. Any attempt at abusing team mechanics or any other Entropia Universe systems or features to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of any prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.

FFA participants who want to participate in the FFA competition should hand in their FFA stars to a Santa’s Little Helper NPC. This will activate the FFA mission and add a Mission to your Mission Log. Once added, do not abandon the FFA Merry Mayhem mission. If you abandon the mission for any reason, intentionally or accidentally, all points earned up to that point will be lost forever and will not be included in your final event score. Support cannot and will not restore points for abandoned missions, regardless of the situation.
