The Robot menace is once again threatening Calypso in force. Colonists are bravely defending the settlements and outposts currently under attack, but the time has come to strike back.
Creatures in the Mayhem divisions have the potential to loot Easter Strongboxes, Mayhem Tokens and Rare Mayhem Tokens.
Background; The Calypso Defense Force (CDF) and the Research and Development Institute (RDI) have secured a hackable subterranean base matrix node and secretly placed an RDI Data Interceptor above it.
To gain access to robot base matrix data, the Data Interceptor has to be activated.
Upon activation, the robots will most likely detect the intrusion and seek to destroy the Data Interceptor.
Now the CDF needs your help to activate and protect the Data Interceptor installation!
The Data Interceptor needs to stay intact for as long as possible. The robots will be dispatching wave after wave of Evicerators, Warlocks and Warriors against each Data Interceptor. Needless to say, these assaults must be repelled!
The RDI cannot stress the importance of this mission enough and will teleport any colonist volunteer from anywhere in the Entropia Universe to the Data Interceptor’s location. Select your appropriate category under the Global tab in the Events interface to participate.
Mayhem instances are accessed via the Global Events List from any planet in Entropia Universe.
There are ten Mayhem Annihilation instances available. Participants of all skill levels and gear can enter any of the instances; the only difference being the difficulty of the foes within the instances. There are no time or gear restrictions or other requirements for Mayhem Annihilation, and it is possible to switch between any of the available Annihilation instances at any time, regardless of which mission a participant has chosen.
Upon entering one of the Annihilation event instances, participants will be presented with a choice of four missions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Redulite, which determines the number of points required to unlock rewards. Each mission chain features ten reward thresholds. Participants may only choose one mission, which cannot be restarted or repeated. Be careful not to abandon the mission once started!
Interact with the CDF Data Interceptor inside the Mayhem Annihilation event instance to begin spawning creatures.
Eliminate Easter robots to accumulate points and unlock reward tiers. A random number of points (0, 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500) is automatically awarded after defeating one of the event instance robots. Higher level robots have a higher chance of awarding more points, regardless of which mission is chosen.
Rewards in Mayhem are based on performance in the event instances, and are unlocked and awarded automatically when certain criteria are met.
Rewards include exclusive clothing, consumables, Easter-themed items, and Mayhem Tokens, which can also be looted from event creatures in this and other Mayhem-style events. Mayhem Tokens and Rare Mayhem Tokens can be exchanged for exclusive items offered by the Mayhem Token Traders located in Cape Corinth, Port Atlantis, and Twin Peaks on Planet Calypso.
Mayhem Tokens and Rare Mayhem Tokens can be accumulated over the course of several events to purchase more expensive items, allowing participants to make incremental progress toward their desired rewards. Mayhem Tokens and Rare Mayhem Tokens are non-tradable, but the items available in the Mayhem Token Vendor are tradable.
Get the Mayhem Defense mission upon instance entry. Interact with the Control Panel to select a stage and begin spawning robots.
Stop the robots from destroying the CDF Data Interceptor for as many stages as you can against increasingly dangerous waves of robots. There are 20 stages in Mayhem Defense, and each stage consists of 10 phases.
Letting the CDF Data Interceptor get destroyed, disconnecting, or leaving the instance will fail the stage. Stages can be repeated, but the listed rewards for each stage are only distributed for the initial completion. Repeating a stage will however award a small amount of Mayhem Tokens, with the amount dependent on the stage. Dying will not fail the stage.
The Defense mission cannot be restarted or repeated. Be careful not to abandon the mission once started!
