In this section you will find useful information and answers to Frequently Asked Questions related to your Entropia Universe Account.
How do I join the Entropia Universe?
The first thing you need to do, is to apply for an Entropia Universe account. Please click here to apply for an account.
I do not feel comfortable with stating my true name and birth date. Why do you ask for this information?
We need you to specify your true name and your birth data, because this is the only way to uniqely distinguish two persons from each other inside the Virtual Universe - in the event you forget your login information the only way for you to prove that you are the holder is by sending us an identification document.
Your account information will be kept secret by MindArk and not made available to any third party nor to any other participant.
Please note that if any of this information is incorrect it cannot be changed at a later stage. If you have not stated the correct data, not only will you be unable to utilize all functionality in the Entropia Universe, it is also possible that your account will be permanently locked down. In any event, it will be impossible to make any withdrawals if this information is invalid.
I have applied for an account, what happens next?
Once you have submitted your account application, MindArk will run automatic and manual verifications before your account is approved. When your application passes the verification, you will receive a link via e-mail (to the address you gave in your registration form) and you need to follow this link to complete the approval process.
I have created an account, but failed to login to the Entropia Universe.
Your account may still be pending approval. The account approval process is automated; however if some information is incorrect, the application is manually reviewed. You can speed up the process by verifying the information you stated when you applied for your account.
I have entered the correct information, why has my application been rejected?
The verifications run on your application include checking your IP address. If this address has been used in previous scam/abuse attempts, or your internet service provider (ISP) has not registered the IP address correctly with the global internet authorities then your application may be rejected. Please check with your ISP if this is the case.
Why is there already an application pending on my IP address?
To avoid incidental duplicate application attempts, you will sometimes get this error message. Wait a couple of hours and try again.
I have applied for an account but have not received the activation mail.
The activation mail may take several minutes to reach your mailbox. If you have not received this email, please make sure that your mail account does not filter out emails from MindArk. Make sure there is no spam filter that may stop the email. If you have a spam filter, please check your spam folder.
If after 24 hours you still have not received an activation mail, it may be because you have submitted incorrect information when applying for the account. In such case we advise you to apply for a new account and to be careful to submit correct information.
I cannot activate my account?
If your activation fails, maybe the activation link is somehow corrupt. In such case, we recommend you to re-activate your account here.
Can I apply for more than one account?
It is not possible to have more than one account active at any time. The avatar you create will represent you in the Entropia Universe. When you start interacting with other avatars, they will get to know you by the appearance and name of your avatar.
Where can I update my account information?
You can update your account information via 'My Account'. Please note that you may not change your name or birthdate.
I cannot remember my password and login. How can I access my account?
If you have forgotten the password and/or login, you may reactivate your account. If you cannot remember the Email address, you need to send us a copy of your passport together with the request that you want to reactivate your account. You also need to state a new Email address.
Please send this information to:
MindArk PE AB
Jarntorget 8
SE 413 04 Gothenburg
Sweden
As soon as we have changed your Email address, you will be able to reactivate your account.
I have written an incorrect name in the account section.
We do not - under any circumstances - change the name of the account holder. The importance of adding the correct information as you sign up for an account is clearly stated in the EULA (to which you have agreed). You may still keep this account, but you cannot count on any further assistance from the Entropia Universe Support Department should you get into trouble which requires some kind of identification from your side. You will never be able to prove that you are the true holder of this account. You will also never be able to withdraw funds from your Entropia Universe account or use a Gold Card to secure your account from attacks such as key loggers etc.
How can I delete my account?
Once approved, an account cannot be deleted. In accordance with Swedish law, we have to keep the account on file for at least five years. You can request your account to be locked to ensure that it can no longer be used. The account will then remain in a locked state for a period of 390 days. If the account has not been activated during that time, you will receive an e-mail warning you about that the account will be purged unless you activate it within the next 30 days. When the account is purged, all skills and items will be deleted and the TT sum of the items will be transferred to your PED card. Still, the account will remain active in the system for another 330 days before it is finally terminated, meaning that the avatar will be deleted and the PED amount will be removed from the account. When the account has been terminated, you will not be able to reactivate it again. If you wish to participate in the Entropia Universe again, you will have to apply for a new account.
If you have any other questions please submit a new Support Case.
