We are your Official Entropia Guides Simon and Emma. Below you'll find short introductions to major activities in the Entropia Universe. Words written using capital letters can also be found in the Entropia Dictionary, located at the bottom of this page.
You can also find us at the arrival zone in Port Atlantis when your avatar first lands on Calypso. Please come and say hi, we can help you getting started in Entropia.
You can easily recognize us by the orange text in the local chat channel. Our avatars are controlled by real people so you can interact with us in the same way as with other participants. Just press enter, type your message and press enter again to post. We look forward to seeing you there.

 | Start, Login & Connect >>
Once you have applied for an account and been approved (see the Get Started section), you can start the Client Software and connect to the Entropia Universe.
As well as allowing you to log into the Entropia Universe, the Login Window allows you to view the latest Entropia Universe news, quickly check current auction data, and adjust various computer performance Options.

 | Avatar Creation >>
The first time you start the Entropia Universe you will need to create an avatar that will represent you in the virtual universe.
Please remember to take your time with this creation process! An avatar can only be created once.

 | Arriving on Calypso >>
New colonists arrive in the coastal settlement of Port Atlantis - a city on the west coast of the Eudoria continent.
Stepping off the Space Shuttle in Port Atlantis, you will be welcomed by several information booths and Official Entropia Guides that can help you get started in the Entropia Universe.

Learn how to move your avatar, interact with others, and use your tools and items effectively.
Once inside the Entropia Universe your avatar can exhibit a wide range of emotions and gestures. These are very useful when dealing and interacting with other avatars. Once you've learned the basics, you can Customize your Controls with your own favorite keys and actions.

Learn to use the Map and your keyboard to explore the vast continents on Calypso.
The planet Calypso is very large with two major continents, a space station and a large asteriod in its orbit. Filled with exotic environments, learning how to use the map and radar are a must for every new colonist.

Once you've mastered the basics, you can begin customizing your keyboard controls to suit your own needs.

Calyspo is rich in many different resources including ores, gems, and oils to name a few. Learn about the different resources, which tools to use and how to mine effectively.
Resources, once mined from the soil, are used in manufacturing processes to make a wide range of items including weapons, clothing, furniture and tools.

Learn how to manufacture, color and customize your own avatar's clothing. When you develop your skills you might even try to open your own clothing stores on Calypso.

The Beauty System allows you to develop skills in customizing other avatars through hair styling, body and face sculpting and make up application.

Resources acquired from hunting and mining can be used in the manufacturing process to produce clothing, armor, weaponry and a multitude of other items.

Land and Estate ownership is a vital part of the Entropia Universe, either for business purposes or just to have a place to call home.
You can invest in a simple appartment or go big with a country manor and surrounding lands. The choice is yours.

As a landowner, you may directly influence the eco-system to suit your personal desires in the Land Areas under your control.
You can allow other particpants to organize events on your land and you can also set a tax for all hunting done on your land.

Owning a shop on Calypso is a natural development for most colonists once they begin collecting and manufacturing items.
Shops are an easy way to display and sell items you may have, and can be easily set up in a variety of different locations on Calypso including large shopping malls located in Calypso's busiest trading regions.

Financial opportunities using virtual assets as collateral, are available to colonists and entrepreneurs on the planet Calypso.
This guide explains the basics of how to interact with the banks and their functionality.

A global Ad System allows colonists to create and display advertisements all over Calypso. Ad Display Boards are located in all the major populated centers on Calypso and are the perfect medium to reach the masses.
Private Signs, Screens and Displays allow colonists to create local messages for shops, apartments or other local situations. You may even upload your own images and videos to create unique messages on equipment that supports Participant Content (PC).

Create and administer exclusive events on Calypso with tickets, rules and prizes.
Hunting Events can be held on Land Areas all over Calypso. PvP combat Events can also be organized for those who prefer a little more action.

Learn how to tame the wildlife on Calypso, teach them to perform actions, tricks and learn how to use them to aid you in your activities.
Taming animals requires certain skills though, and we wouldn't recommend trying to tame a Daikiba Alpha, you might be biting off more than you can chew.
